Energy Breakfast

Join the monthly energy forum every third Tuesday.

Each month features a new topic or speaker. Purchase coffee and a muffin ($2-5) fresh from T-Bocks Sports Bar and Grille while learning about relevant local energy topics.  Energy breakfast programming is free and open to the public, though we request that you register so we can plan for you!

February Energy Breakfast: Future Cities Projects

Under the direction of Carole Sand, Decorah Middle Schoolers spent months imagining solutions for the cities of the future. How will a city in Chile plan for earthquakes? What kind of energy infrastructure is needed during times of drought? Floods?? Through months of research and planning (and a consulting session with WED’s Energy Planner Joel Zook), these teams have imagined solutions to future challenges and created 3D models to represent the solutions to each situation. This is better than a sci-fi novel: it’s future cities!
