Identify utility savings opportunities and monitor energy use with the Commercial AuditPLUS+ program.
The Winneshiek Energy District’s AuditPLUS+ program goes beyond a traditional energy audit to help businesses and organizations identify utility savings through one on one support and free installation of energy monitoring sensors for real-time energy consumption data.
About the program
The Commercial Audit+ program combines WED’s proven energy audit and energy coaching services with the installation of energy sensors that provide you real time data regarding your building's energy use. The program includes:
- A comprehensive on-site energy audit: Performed by a certified energy auditor, this snapshot provides an overview of your building’s energy use. The service is slightly different depending on your building, but typically includes:
- Utility bill analysis
- Lighting inventory
- Appliance Inventory
- Measure Air leakage
- Written report including recommendations for increased energy efficiency - (view sample report)
- Follow up consultation: Your energy auditor will review the results of your audit, recommendations, and available financial incentives
-
- Energy Monitoring Sensors & Installation: Audit+ provides FREE energy monitoring devices & free installation for enterprises that would benefit from more granular, long term energy tracking. Work with your electrician to install these devices in your circuit box for the ability to view a dashboard of your building’s energy use in real time. This tool will provide you insight into energy consumption trends including behavioral and environmental factors.
