2020 Alliant Residential Rebates

Joel Zook, Energy Planner

Alliant Energy has doubled the amount of their residential rebates and dramatically increased the rebate amount for their small business lighting rebate program.  The increased rebate levels are only good through the end of the year so act now to take advantage of them.

If you’ve been thinking of upgrading your home’s cooling system, or adding a heat pump to supplement your gas furnace, act now since the increased rebates are only available through the end of the year. This is also a great time to consider installing a heat pump water heater (link?), smart thermostat or geothermal system to your home. Any homeowner making upgrades should also learn about the energy efficiency tax credits (up to $500) available through the end of the year. Check out our accompanying article on tax credits to learn more.

If you’re a small business, the Small Business Energy Solutions program Alliant offers is a great opportunity to save energy with a low upfront cost but high impact savings potential. The program focuses on two of the most common energy updates with the highest returns: lighting replacement and simple refrigeration improvements.
