Stories from a Year of Energy Savings
Katherine, Briana, Maddy and Gracie will tell stories from 11 months of helping northeast Iowans become more energy efficient as members of Green Iowa AmeriCorps team. August Breakfast: Porter House Energy Upgrades
The August Energy Breakfast will feature one of Decorah's most noteable landmarks: the Porter House Museum. The non-profit museum recently underwent notable energy upgrades, including central air, installation of mini-split heat pumps, and rooftop solar. In the Spring of 2019, the Oneota Community Co-op completed a major remodel of its current store location. A large investment of this project was replacing an old refrigeration system with a newer refrigerated rack system.
